Ferguson Police Promote Two Officers to Sergeant

The Ferguson Police Department announced the promotion of officers Dominica Fuller and Mark Leone to Sergeant.

“We are very pleased and excited to enter into this new era for our police department,” Mayor James Knowles III said. “Promoting these two fine officers to sergeant is just another step in the right direction for the city of Ferguson.”

Dominica Fuller was first hired in 1999 as a full time corrections officer in Ferguson, then graduated from the Eastern Missouri Police Academy in October of 2005, becoming a patrolman. She has received two commendations and participated in the Ferguson-Florissant School District Parents as Teachers and Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) programs.

“Sergeant Fuller has been an important member of our department for several years,” Ferguson Acting Police Chief Alan Eickhoff said. “She has outstanding leadership qualities and professional skills that will be very beneficial in her new position.”

Mark Leone was hired as a dispatcher for Ferguson in 2001 and transferred to the corrections department later that year. He graduated from Eastern Missouri Police Academy in June 2002, becoming a patrolman. Leone was promoted to detective in 2006 and has earned five commendations.
