The advanced history class of North County Christian School left the classroom April 24-26 to take part in the Civil War Heritage Festival in Hartville, Missouri. The NCCS students train throughout the semester so they can be approved to participate along with 400 other participants in the Civil War Reenactment.

In addition to the war reenactment, the history class members dressed, ate, lived and slept just as townspeople did in the 1860s. The Civil War Reenactment gives the enactors and visitors a chance to see and touch history rather than just read about it.
