Baseball Districts Begin May 15; Track

And Field, Girls Soccer Begin May 16

May 15 begins the final stretch of High School Athletics in Missouri with Baseball Districts while Track And Field will hold Districts for Classes Three, Four and Five on May 16, which is also begins Girls Soccer.

BASEBALL — To find out about the district seedings and parings go to mshsaa.org, click on “Baseball,” click on “District Tournaments,” click on “Class number” and click on “District number.”

   CLASS FIVE, DISTRICT SIX — Hazelwood West is the host with Hazelwood Central, Hazelwood East, McCluer North, McCluer and Ritenour competing. The district champion plays May 26 in the Sectional hosted by the District Five winner. Quarterfinal game is May 28 at site TBD while the Semfinal, June 5 and the Championship or Third Place game, June 6 will be at T.R. Hughes Ballpark, O’Fallon.

CLASS FOUR, DISTRICT SIX — North Tech, Riverview Gardens and McCluer South-Berkeley will compete in this district hosted by Orchard Farm along with Duchesne and St. Charles High. The District champion will be playing in the May 26 Sectional at the site of the District Five Winner and the May 28 Quarterfinal will be at site TBD. The June 4 Semifinal as well as the June 5 Championship/Third Place game will be at T.R. Hughes Ballpark.

   CLASS THREE, DISTRICT FIVE — Lutheran North hosts this district with Trinity Catholic, Cardinal Ritter, Northwest Academy of Law, Metro and College Prep competing and the district champion will host the Sectional, May 25 against the District Six winner. The Quarterfinal game is May 27 at site TBD while the June 1 Semifinal and the June 2 Championship/Third Place games will be at T.R. Hughes Ballpark.

   TRUCK AND FIELD — There are 16 events each for Boys and Girls. The top four finishers from each May 16 district event advance to the May 23 Sectional and the top four from each event Sectional event advance to the State championships May 29-30 at Dwight T. Reed Stadium, Lincoln University, Jefferson City.

   CLASS FIVE, DISTRICT THREE — The meet will be at Lutheran North with DeSmet, Francis Howell North, Hazelwood Central, Hazelwood East, Hazelwood West, McCluer North, Parkway North Pattonville and Ritenour. Qualifiers for Sectional Two will compete at Mary Institute/Country Day School against qualifiers from District Four.

CLASS FOUR, DISTRICT THREE — Mary Institute/Country Day School will not host this district but Sectional Two against District Four. Competing against MICDS in District Three are these North County teams –Incarnate Word Academy, McCluer, Riverview Gardens and Jennings.

CLASS THREE, DISTRICT THREE — Lutheran North will compete as hosts against these North County schools including North Techncial, Trinity Catholic, McCluer South-Berkeley and Normandy Collaborative. Qualifiers for Sectional two will compete against District Four May 23 at Montgomery County High School

   GIRLS SOCCER — To find out about district seeding and parings go to mshsaa.org, click on “Soccer” Then under “Girls – Soccer” click on “District Tournaments,” click on “Class number” and click on “District number.” After district the road to state continues with the May 26 Sectionals and May 30 Quarterfinals and ends June 5-6 with the semifnals, Third Place and championship game in Blue Springs.

   CLASS FOUR, DISTRICT FIVE — McCluer North will be host against Hazelwood Central, Hazelwood East and Hazelwood West and games will be played at James Eagan Civic Center Park. The winner will host Distict Six winner in the Sectional.

   CLASS THREE, DISTRICT SIX will be played at Midwest Soccer Academy hosted by Rosati-Kain against Incarnate Word Academy, Riverview Gardens and Vashon and the winner plays at the District Five winner in the Sectional.

   CLASS THREE, DISTRICT SEVEN will be at Fort Zumwalt East with McCluer, Fort Zumwalt South and St. Charles competing and the winner hosts the District Eight winner in the Sectional.

 

 

 

CLASS TWO, DISTRICT FIVE — Lutheran North will host the district competing against North Technical, McCluer South-Berkeley and Jennings and the winner hosts the District Six winer in the Sectional.
