Florissant residents who had water in their homes from sanitary sewers backing up have 30 days to file a claim with Metropolitan Sewer District.
Mayor Robert Lowery met recently with inspectors from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA), and the Small Business Administration and a rapid damage assessment was conducted.
Residents may submit a claim with MSD. For information on filing a claim, call MSD Customer Service at 314-768-8260.
Mayor Lowery urges residents to contact the Public Works Department at 314-839-7648 for guidance on how to properly clean and sanitize flood damaged property. Any damage should be reported to the Public Works Department so it can be added to the damage assessment total.
