FreeHome Improvement Seminar for

Florissant Residents Seeking Loans

Florissant home-owners who would like to apply for the city’s Home Improvement Program can attend a free seminar at the Florissant City Hall in the Council Chambers on Thursday, April 9 at 6 p.m. They will learn about available resources, qualifications for the program, and how to fill out an application.

Florissant’s Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) office provides no-interest loans of up to $5,000 to a limited number of low-to-moderate income Florissant homeowners who qualify. The loans can only be used for home repair and to address code violations. Applications are available for pickup or on the Florissant website. Completed applications will be accepted during regular business hours (8 a.m. – 5 p.m.) at the Government Building Wednesday, May 1 on a first-come-first-served basis. All applications are reviewed by Florissant’s Community Development Office. Failure to complete or submit all required information will make the applicant ineligible for the program. All applicants will receive written notification of the acceptance or denial of their application.

For more information about the loans and eligibility, see Florissant’s website www.florissantmo.com or contact the Community Development Office at 314-839-7680 or HYPERLINK “mailto:comara@florissantmo.com” comara@florissantmo.com
