Della’s Diner Comes to the Civic Center Theatre

The Florissant Fine Arts Council Presents: Della’s Diner from the State Theatre of Georgia on Sunday, Feb. 22 at 2 p.m.

Della’s Diner is a delicious comedy romp with outrageous Southern characters and show-stopping Country, Blues and Rockabilly tunes. Della is the sassy, big-hearted café owner who dispenses love, wisdom and moral advice to the parade of odd balls who come and go from her cozy diner on Morning Glory Mountain. The musical tells the tale of Della’s mixed-up relationships and the threatened future of her diner.

The show hinges on the experience of three women. Della, who has escaped a dark past and settled on her very own mountain; her beautiful daughter Ramona, home after a failed attempt to make it as a country music singer, and Connie Sue Day, a fresh-out-of prison former country star with sass and spark.

Della’s Diner is full of show-stopping country, western, blues, gospel and rockabilly tunes and sidesplitting comedy. Original show tunes like Side of Fries, Satisfaction Guaranteed, Halfway to Heaven and All American Male make Della’s Diner a crowd pleaser. The comedy is a hilarious musical comedy soap opera full of non-stop surprises, twists and turns that will keep the audience guessing until the end.

Tickets are $28 for adults, $26 for seniors/students. For more information, call the Civic Center box office at 314-921-5678.
