Cold Water Elementary School in the Hazelwood School District was recognized by Character Plus and the St. Louis Rams for implementing character fitness for its students and staff.

Character Plus and the St. Louis Rams mascot “Rampage” visited Cold Water on Friday, Sept. 12 during an all-school assembly. Cold Water received a banner, tickets to attend a Rams home game this season, and an invitation to present at the National Character Plus conference.

Cold Water Elementary staff and 15 students helped to build Bear Trail last summer. Bear Trail is an outdoor wood chipped fitness trail at the school. Outdoor equipment including a sit-up bench, a back extension machine, push-up bars and a vertical jump trainer will soon be installed along the trail. Principal Dr. Christa Warner regularly jogs with more than 75 students in the Mileage Club.
