SmashBand Perform on Oct. 11; Ralph Butler Band At Fall Festival on Oct. 12

The SmashBand concert that was cancelled do to weather on Aug. 16 has been rescheduled for Saturday, Oct. 11 on the Lawyers Building lot in the 100 block of St. Francois. The band will take the Showmobile stage at 7 p.m.

The SmashBand Superhits concert is part of the Music Under the Stars Concert Series presented by the Florissant Fine Arts Council and the city of Florissant.

The concert will now be a kick-off for the Fall Festival that takes place on Sunday, Oct. 12. Previous Fall Festivals have attracted over 35,000 attendees, and this year promises to be the biggest ever.

Two concerts by the Ralph Butler Band are scheduled for Sunday. The band will perform at 1 and 3 p.m., also at the 100 block of St. Francois.

Over 150 booths will line the St. Francois St., which will be closed from Florissant Rd. to the Old St. Ferdinand Shrine for the festival from 11 a.m. – 5 p.m. on Sunday.

There will be festival favorites like the Chili Cook-off, wine garden, pumpkin decorating, Kincaid Karacter Puppets, stiltwalkers, items for sale, food and beverages.

Old Town Partners, City of Florissant, the Missouri Arts Council, Regional Arts Commission and the Boeing Employees Community Fund of St. Louis co-sponsor some festival offerings on rue St. Francois each year on the 2nd Sunday in October.
