Florissant Offers Magic, Circus Camps at JFK

The Florissant Parks and Recreation Department is offering a Magical Mystery Camp and a Circus Stars Camp for children age 6-12 this July.

Magical Mystery Camp.

What do you get when you combine theater and magic into one camp? Magical Mystery Camp. Campers will learn new magic tricks each day, often treating their parents to a nightly show. Campers will weave their tricks into a mystery show, which they will create and perform the last day for their families. In learning magic, theater and improv, your kids will develop their presentation skills and confidence while having a lot of fun in the process.

The camp is offered from July 21-25 from 12:30-3:30 p.m. at the JFK Community Center. The fee is $95 for residents and $110 for non-residents

Circus Stars Camp

Walk on stilts, ride a unicycle, balance on a rolla bolla board – these are just a few of the exciting skills campers will learn in Circus Stars Camp. They will also learn juggling, plate spinning, clown acts, animal balloons and much more. There will also be some brand new juggling and balancing skills this year. Camp culminates with the campers performing an amazing circus for their family and friends.

The camp is offered from July 21-25 from 9 a.m. – noon at the JFK Community Center. The fee is $95 for residents and $110 for non-residents

Campers can register for both camps for a discounted fee of $185 for residents and $210 for non-residents. The 30 minute break between camps will be supervised.
