The Second Annual Taste in Ferguson will be held on Sunday, June 29 from 3 to 6 p.m. at the Savoy Banquet Center, 119 S. Florissant Rd.
The event will feature samples from a number of local businesses in Ferguson and the surrounding area, including Cork Wine Bar, Cose Dolci, Ferguson Brewing Company, Goody Goody Diner, Papa Murphy’s, Whistle Stop Depot, and many more.
Artists from the Northern Arts Council will also set up easels to demonstrate their skills during the Taste, and local musicians will jam outside during the event. The Magic House will offer fun-filled activities for children and BABALOO will perform at 4 p.m. Bring the entire family to this wonderful event so everyone can experience a local taste of food, art, music, and fun!
Tickets for The Taste in Ferguson cost $20 for adults, children 10 years of age and under are free. Tickets can be purchased online at www.thetasteinferguson.com, Ferguson Farmers’ Market, Corner Coffee House, and Robinwood Automotive.
New this Year, The VIP Experience from 2 to 3 p.m. on June 29. Chef Eddie Schmidt of Le Cordon Bleu will demonstrate his cooking techniques and creating mouthwatering treats for the VIP guests. VIP Tickets cost $125 and include: exclusive parking, private entrance, champagne reception, passed hor d’oeuvres, music, premier cooking demonstration and private sampling tour of the participating restaurants. Tickets can be purchased online at www.tasteinferguson.com. A limited amount of tickets are available.
All proceeds from the Taste will go toward the Robbie McGartland & Samantha Lipka Memorial Scholarship Fund, which was established to honor two Ferguson teens who tragically passed away in their young lives. The McGartland family honors Robbie’s memory by providing scholarships to students of Blessed Teresa of Calcutta School and Catholic Education. The Lipka family honors Samantha’s dream of going to college by providing scholarships to high school seniors in the Ferguson-Florissant School District and surrounding North County area.
