Florissant offers Ozzie Smith Sports Academy Basketball Camps
The Florissant Parks and Recreation Department is offering the Ozzie Smith Sports Academy Basketball Camp and Mini-Hoopsters. Ozzie’s camps offer the perfect combination of expert training and fun.
Basketball Camp consists of training in jump stop cross over dribbling, between the legs, fitness drills, quickness drills, defensive positioning, reaction drills, mid-range shooting, 3 point shooting, finishing drills, reading passing lanes, and defensive.
Daily scrimmages enable every camper to practice immediately, helping to reinforce daily lessons and fostering confidence. Every camper will receive a written evaluation, Certificate of Completion, Camp T-shirt, and “Tips from the Pros.”
Basketball Camp is for ages 7 –14. It will be offered on 7/21 – 7/24 from 8:30 a.m. – 11 a.m. at the Eagan Center Gymnasium. The resident rate is $79 and $89 non-resident,
In Mini-Hoopster, campers learn basic fundamentals of dribbling, passing and shooting, plus have a daily scrimmage. All teaching is done in a light and fun atmosphere. Every camper will receive a written evaluation, Certificate of Completion, Camp T-shirt, and “Tips from the Pros.”
Mini-Hoopsters is for ages 4 – 6. It will be offered on 7/21 – 7/24 from 8:30 a.m. – 10 a.m. at the Eagan Center Gymnasium. The resident rate is $54 and the non-resident rate is $59.
