Hospitalization & Dementia: Caring Partnerships at Northwest HealthCare Community Room, 1225 Graham Rd. from 5:30 – 7 p.m.  Christian Hospital it teaming up with the Alzheimer’s Association to present this educational program that helps prepare people caring for a loved one with dementia for a hospital stay. Sunday, June 1

St. Mark’s UMC, 315 Graham Road, Florissant will host its 2nd St. Baldrick’s Event for children’s cancer research at noon in the Church’s Lower Level Fellowship Hall. All “shavees” need to register prior to the event to pick up donation packets. There will be prizes for the top 3 shaves, plus attendance prizes and refreshments. You do not have to have  your head shaved , but can cheer on those who will. Call:  314-837-9404

A benefit barbecue will be held from 11-6 at Cabelas at  St. Louis Outlet Mall, 5555 St. Louis Mills Blvd., Hazelwood by  Gateway Voiture  #448 of 40/8 and Salon 116 (a veterans not-for-profit organizations). There will be ribs, pork steaks, bratwurst, and hot dogs plus sides.

Church Rummage Sale  at  Zion United Church of Christ (5710 N. Hwy 67 – 2 blocks west of Jamestown Mall) is holding a Rummage Sale from 8 a.m. – 2 p.m.  in the church basement. All proceeds benefit the Tote Bag Ministry, providing each of the 225 residents of the St. Louis Psychiatric Rehabilitation Center a tote bag filled with personal care items.
