Ferguson-Florissant Superintendent honored for racial equity by NCCU

Ferguson-Florissant School District Supt. Jeffrey Spiegel has received an Outstanding Education Award for his work to close the academic achievement gap between the races. Spiegel, who has been superintendent in Ferguson-Florissant since 2004, was honored for putting in place a series of initiatives that advance racial harmony and justice through education. North County Churches Uniting for Racial Harmony and Justice (NCCU) is a consortium of churches promoting understanding among different races and cultures.
