When the Greater North County Chamber of Commerce announced its Business Person of the Year for 2014, it got a two-for-one bonus with Pat and Lora Click, the husband and wife team that owns Click Heating and Cooling in Florissant.  The Clicks were surprised to hear their names announced at the Chamber’s Nite of Stars gala in December and have been looking forward to a dinner given in their honor at Norwood Country Club on April 11..

Pat and Lora Click have owned Click Heating & Cooling for 37 years and have been active members of the Chamber since 1977.  They were chosen as Outstanding Business Persons of the Year because  of their exceptional service and dedication to the community.  “We thank all our loyal customers and great employees,” Pat Click said.  Without all of them we would not be receiving this award.”  Lori added, “we are honored to receive this award.”

In addition to their involvement in the Chamber for nearly four decades, the Clicks have been active members of Old Town Partners, the Florissant Rotary Club, and Soroptimist International of Greater St. Louis.  They have both volunteered on the Florissant Fall Festival Committee and have hosted the annual Chili Cook-off for the past 16 years.  They often sponsor a queen candidate for the Florissant Valley of Flowers Festival and were named “Lord and Lady” of that festival in 2002.  The most recent club Pat Click joined is the “Old Town Donut Club,” which meets every Friday morning at Florissant Old Town Donuts!

Pat Click is a Navy veteran and attended Lincoln University, where he received a Vocational Teaching Certificate.  Pat has received the Contractor Award for outstanding product knowledge and customer satisfaction in the heating and cooling industry. Lora Click attended the University of Kentucky and is currently serving as vice president of the Florissant Fine Arts Council. She is a long-time member of the Soroptimist International of Greater St. Louis.   Together, they have two children—Mary and Patrick, Jr.—and six grandchildren, ages 6-18.

The cost of the annual Outstanding Business Person of the Year and Installation Dinner is $50 per person and includes dinner and a one-hour cash bar.  Reservations can be made through the Chamber office at 314-831-3500 or online: greaternorthcountychamber.com. Deadline is April 4.
