Florissant is 1 of 4 Sites For Confluence Trash Bash March 15
Cleaning up area streams and neighborhoods is the theme of the sixth annual Confluence Trash Bash, which will take place from 8:30 a.m. to noon on Saturday, March 15. Volunteers can meet at one of four starting points for the effort, including Bangert Park in Florissant, 275 South New Florissant Road.
Registration for the clean-up will be held at Bangert Park as well as three other locations, where volunteers will congregate before heading out to various sites to pick up trash and litter to diminish water pollution in the area. Following the clean-up, volunteers are invited to return to their starting location for an appreciation lunch. Prizes will be given for interesting trash finds.
The Old Chain of Rocks Bridge, Creve Coeur Park and the Bridgeton Municipal Athletic Complex are the other three area sites that will serve as starting points for the sixth annual event.
