For Hazelwood residents making a New Year’s resolution to lose weight, the Parks and Recreation Division is hosting a “Hazelwood’s Biggest Loser” contest for individuals ages 16 and over.  This 12-week period will begin on January 6th and end on March 31st.  The fee for residents is $20 (ID card required). Participants will be given unlimited use of the fitness rooms at both recreation centers and a 20% discount off any fitness programs during the contest.  All participants must attend a Kick-Off Meeting on January 6th at 7 p.m. at the Hazelwood Community Center. 

Weigh-ins for “Hazelwood’s Biggest Loser” will be held every two weeks and the results tracked by Parks and Recreation supervisors. The final weigh-in will be on March 31st.

One male and one female winner will be determined by who loses the most weight. Prizes include a 2014 Individual Premier Pass and a 2014 Individual Season Pass to Hazelwood’s White Birch Bay Aquatic Center.  Everyone who loses 20 lbs. receives $5 in Recreation Bucks.
