The chalk wall on rue St. Francois is always popular. The Florissant Barbershoppers performed along rue St. Francois. The Bridge at Florissant passed out apples. Here, Venus Martz gets ready to toss an apple. This year marked the second year for the car show, sponsored by the Florissant Police Department. All proceeds will to to support the department’s K-9 unit. Chili cooks stand by their creations in the chili cook-off. This popular event took place at Click’s Heating and Cooling. Lori Click with chili cook-off winner Brennan Goeke. Goeke’s chili, “A Fist Full of Peppers,” took first place. Keith Schildroth took second with “Betty’s Best.” The Florissant Fire Protection District set up extinguishers. Here, children aim the extinguishers. The Florissant Valley Fire Department held a mock rescue. Here, they extract a ‘victim’ from a car. The Fido Follies was well-attended. Here, a little dog gets a boost from a friend. Little Red Riding Hood and her dog Grandma make an appearance at the Fido Follies. Pets and people alike dressed up for the Fido Follies. These two friends sported sailor and captain outfits.
