Florissant Parks Department Has Several Programs in July

The Florissant Parks Department has several special programs coming up soon.

July 10: Wednesday Morning Fun for Ages 3-5: Water Play Day

What a day we’ll have playing with water. The hoses will come out we will get wet and wild.  We may even have a water balloon fight, so don’t forget your suit. If it rains, we will have a fun day in the gym.

9 – 11 a.m. at the Eagan Center. Fee: Resident – $8, Non-resident – $12

July 12: Splish Splash Summer Bash

At the annual Splish Splash Summer Bash for Florissant youth, grades 5-8, participants will enjoy pizza, soda, games and more. Admission will be by ticket only. Tickets may be purchased at JFK Community Center and the James J. Eagan Center.

6:30 – 9 p.m. at the Koch Park Aquatics Center. Fee: Resident – $5, Non-resident – 7.

Residents may purchase two Tickets per 5th-8th grade resident ID card. Non-residents may purchase one ticket.

July 13: Family Fishing Tournament

The Florissant Parks and Recreation Department, in conjunction with the Florissant Youth Advisory Commission, is sponsoring this annual event. A current 2013 Florissant Resident Card is required to register. Awards and consolation prizes will be given in various categories throughout the event. The tournament is open to all ages. Individuals 16-65 years of age are required by state law to have a Missouri State Fishing License.

Mondays and Wednesdays now through August 7: Outdoor Splash And Play for ages 0 – 6

Parents and kids six and under enjoy their own special time in the Koch Family Aquatic Center during the summer.

9:45 – 11 a.m. at the Koch Family Aquatic Center

Daily Admission or pool pass membership required. The two story waterslide, lazy river,  and lily pad area are not open during this time.
