What Officials Believe was a Tornado Caused Major Damage in Hazelwood

Traffic lights were down Wednesday along many sections of N. Lindbergh including New Halls Ferry at Lindbergh

           Florissant Had Damage Also

In addition to all the storm damage in Hazelwood,  from what weather officials are calling a tornado, there are parts of Florissant that sustained significant damage also.

Trees  and branches are down  around St. Ferdinand Park,  shopping center signs tilted and damaged at Florissant Meadows Shopping Center (see photo) , utility wires down and power out, especially along  N. Lindbergh, between Patterson and New Halls Ferry where police officers (see photo) were handing traffic on  Thursday morning.

Much of the damage in Hazelwood was near Howdershell and Lynn Haven and along Patterson Road. Mayor Matt Robinson said he saw at least 20 trees down.  The Missouri Highway Patrol came into Hazelwood Wednesday morning to assist Hazelwood Police. Access into the storm damage area was limited on Wednesday.

The good news is there were no reports of deaths in the area. There were several people who had minor injuries and were treated
