Florissant Police Chief Timothy Lowery announced two recent promotions in the Florissant Police Department.<\/p>\n
Sergeant Daniel Biermann is being promoted to the rank of Lieutenant and Detective Dennis DeHart to the rank of Sergeant.\u00a0 The promotions are necessary to fill staff positions as a result of the recent retirement of Chief William Karabas.<\/p>\n
Biermann ahs been with the departmetn for 23 years, serving as a Sergeant for the last five. His most recent assignment was as a supervisor for the Bureau of Field Operations.<\/p>\n
DeHart has been with the department for 12 years. He was most recently assigned as a detective for the Bureau of Investigations.<\/p>\n
Lowery said that both men possess the leadership qualities required in their positions.<\/p>\n
