Interim\u00a0 Asst. Supt for Learning Appointed<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

The Hazelwood School District Board of Education approved a recommendation to name\u00a0 Crystal Reiter as interim assistant superintendent for learning for the. Last week, Grayling Tobias, who had served as an assistant superintendent for learning, was named interim superintendent.<\/p>\n

Reiter<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Dr. Reiter has 15 years of educational experience, serving the past 10 years as the principal at Garrett Elementary School. She previously taught sixth grade at Barrington and Jamestown elementary schools. She also taught third and fourth grade summer school students.<\/p>\n

She has a bachelor\u2019s degree in elementary education from University of Missouri, and a master\u2019s degree in educational administration from Lindenwood University. She received her doctorate in education from Maryville University.\u00a0 Reiter has been involved in the District\u2019s assessment literacy efforts and her leadership has contributed to MAP score improvement at Garrett Elementary.<\/p>\n

Dr. Shanon Drennan has been named interim principal at Garrett Elementary School.\u00a0 Drennan has 17 years of educational experience, serving as the instructional specialist at Garrett Elementary School since 2007.<\/p>\n

Drennan<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

She was the literacy coach at Garrett for four years. She also taught first and second grade students at Brown Elementary School, and taught students with special needs in Wentzville and Sullivan.<\/p>\n

She has a bachelor\u2019s degree in elementary and special education from Culver-Stockton College and a master\u2019s degree in educational administration from Lindenwood University. She received her doctorate in education from Maryville University.<\/p>\n

Destiny Reddick, who has been a teacher at Garrett Elementary School, will become the interim instructional specialist.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
