\"\"<\/a>Ferguson-Florissant School District Superintendent\u00a0Dr. Art McCoy and Andrew Krato of the Florissant Valley Fire Department honored Courtney Shucart for her bravery and character in a surprise presentation on Sept. 4 at Duchesne Elementary School.<\/p>\n

Courtney, a fourth-grader at the school, was at home when her grandmother suddenly fell ill, suffering from an asthma attack.\u00a0 Courtney took quick action, calling 911 immediately for help and remaining calm and listening carefully as the emergency dispatcher gave her instructions on how to care for her ailing grandmother until paramedics arrived.<\/p>\n
