Every once in a while, a dream comes to fruition and it did for the Rams this weekend as they went down to the Superdome in New Orleans and came away with a big win. I don\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t think many people gave them a chance and quit frankly neither did I, but they put it all together and came away with a win.<\/p>\n

Remember just a few years ago, the Rams went to the Superdome for the Super Bowl and came away with a horrible taste in their mouths as they lost on that last minute field goal to the Patriots. I think that gave this team some incentive to get a win, along with the fact that defensive coordinator, Jim Haslett used to be the Saints head coach and he wanted to win badly. <\/p>\n

I really think that this win at least for the time being closed the mouths of
\nall of the people calling for Linehans\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 hide. Can this team go 4-4 in the last 8?. Maybe, they can definitely get a win Sunday against San Francisco, a team that is playing terrible right now, but then they face Seattle and Green Bay.<\/p>\n

I will say that the Rams go 5-3 the rest of the way and that will be a builder for next year. It was great to see the team play with some passion this week as Marc Bulger stepped up and players said that he took control in the huddle and that he was a man in his own world on the sidelines. <\/p>\n

Defensively, players followed hard to every ball and hit like they were pros. The only thing in this positive weekend for the Rams was that, I am always glad to see players and coached get excited but lets keep it real, the team is 1-8 and they were acting like kids on the playground especially after the Atogwe interception, by the way, a pick off that I could have made. On the other hand though, this team hasn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t had a chance to feel this way yet this year, so what the heck, enjoy it while you can.<\/p>\n

Always be Thankfull<\/p>\n

I heard a great saying one again this past weekend, one that I think a lot of us can really take to heart. The quote was “Tough Times never last but tough people do”. This statement has got me through a lot of tough times these last four months or so.<\/p>\n

It made me stop and think that every week I sit and write my column about mostly good things but sometimes I write about negative things like how bad the Rams played or how horrible some athlete is. In the greater scheme of things, does it really matter? What matters is that we never take a day or a situation for granite.<\/p>\n

Things can go bad at the drop of a dime in this world and you never have that chance to say how grateful you are for someone or some situation. Take time to love your family and friends and I close this week, Thank you for allowing me to share my opinions with you through this column the past ten years . I love hearing feedback from all of you around town and I look forward to another 10 years of columns.
