Mayor Tom Schneider and the Florissant City Council honored the winners of the 2012 Beautification Awards.\u00a0The program recognizes homeowners who take pride in the appearance of their home and community.\u00a0 In order to be eligible for the contest a home must be an owner-occupied single-family dwelling.\u00a0 The nominated homes are judged on the landscaping, attractive exterior, overall curb appeal and maintenance of the property.\u00a0 One winner is chosen from each of the city\u2019s nine wards. There is also a Mayor’s Choice winner, chosen by the mayor from any ward. The winners receive recognition from the City Council, including a certificate of appreciation and a Beautiful Home yard sign.<\/p>\n
