North County Community<\/strong><\/p>\n

Festival at Jamestown Mall<\/strong><\/p>\n

The City of Black Jack, the St. Louis County Police Department, Cars 4 Kids, and Majic 104.9FM have teamed up to sponsor the North County Community Festival. The festival will be held at Jamestown Mall on Saturday, June 23, from 4-9 p.m., with fireworks at sunset.<\/p>\n

The event will feature free inflatable rides for the kids and a car show sponsored by Cars 4 Kids. Majic 104.9FM will be on site from 6-8 handing out free food to the first 200 people. There will be music and entertainment on the main stage all day long, with dignitary ceremonies taking place at 6:30. The fireworks display will begin at sunset. The event is free to the public and everyone is invited.<\/p>\n

Black Jack Goes Digital<\/strong><\/p>\n

The City of Black Jack is proud to announce that the community can keep up to date on meetings, events and important information regarding the City of Black Jack via Facebook and Twitter. Both sites are updated regularly and provide followers with the opportunity to receive notices regarding City Council agendas, Boards and Commission meetings and maintenance updates that affect city streets and parks.<\/p>\n

Black Jack Offers Reward for Apprehension<\/strong><\/p>\n

Of Vandals Caught Damaging Property<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

In an effort to be proactive in these times of neglect and consideration for public property, the City Council of the City of Black Jack authorized the payment of a reward of $250.00 for the arrest and conviction of anyone found guilty of damaging public property.<\/p>\n

The reward covers those convicted of removing or damaging any traffic and street signs, and damaging or vandalizing City of Black Jack property, including streets, sidewalks, vehicles and buildings. The reward will be paid to the first person who reports the individual or individuals that are<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

subsequently convicted of the offense.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe City Official and I, have worked tirelessly to keep the City of Black Jack the finest community to live in within the North County area,” Mayor Norm McCourt stated. “In the City of Black Jack vandalism of City property will not be tolerated and violators will be prosecuted. We hope that residents will assist us in the effort by keeping an eye out for suspicious activity within the neighborhoods and will report it to the Police immediately.
