The Florissant Police Department purchased Bach in September of 2004, and he was assigned to Officer Patrick O\u2019Fallon. Officer O\u2019Fallon and Bach graduated from the St. Louis City Canine Training School on November 19, 2004.<\/p>\n<p>During the almost eight years of service to the Florissant Police Department, Bach received two Certificates of Merit: one in June of 2005 for apprehending a suspect wanted for tampering and assaulting a law enforcement officer, and one in September of 2006 for apprehending a suspect wanted for a parole violation, rape, and child molestation.<\/p>\n<p>Bach also received two Letters of Commendation: one in July of 2007 for apprehending a suspect wanted for first degree assault on a law enforcement officer, and one in February of 2011 for apprehending several burglary suspects.<\/p>\n<p>Bach also received the following \u201cOutstanding K-9 Service Awards from the German Shepherd Dog Club of St. Louis: 2006 for Tracking, 2007 for Controlled Substance Detection\u00a02007 for Evidence Detection, 2007 for Tracking, 2008 for Suspect Apprehension.<\/p>\n<p>Along with Officer O\u2019Fallon, Bach lived with Officer\u2019s O\u2019Fallon\u2019s wife, Pam, and son, Patrick. Officer O\u2019Fallon was preparing to transition Bach to retired life this summer. Officer O\u2019Fallon said, \u201cI have not only lost a partner, but a family member.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Bach was a major part of the Florissant Police and O\u2019Fallon family, and he will be missed. Chief Karabas said, \u201cBach was an officer.
