Warrants were issued Feb. 20 for Lozell Stiles by the St. Louis County \u00a0Prosecuting Attorney\u2019s Office for the charge of Arson in the 2nd Degree.<\/p>\n

Lozel Stiles<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

The charge is related to a commercial fire at the Halls Ferry Inn Jazz Club that occurred in the early\u00a0morning hours of Feb.18 Stiles is the owner of the New Halls Ferry Inn Jazz Club. located at 3425 North Highway 67 in Florissant. The site was formerly the Halls Ferry Inn\u00a0Restaurant.<\/p>\n

Fire and law enforcement personnel arrived at \u00a0the restaurant around 2:22\u00a0 a.m. for a report of a possible fire.\u00a0 On arrival there was heavy smoke as the\u00a0 fire began to spread throughout a large portion of the business.\u00a0 The fire caused\u00a0 extensive damage to the business and an adjoining business suffered some smoke\u00a0 damage.\u00a0 No employees or customers were in the business at the time as it was closed\u00a0for the evening.\u00a0 No one was injured as a result of incident.<\/p>\n

The Halls Ferry Inn Jazz Club after the suspicious fire.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Florissant detectives were notified due to the suspicious nature of the origin of the fire.\u00a0 An investigation resulted in Mr. Stiles being arrested and formally charged with\u00a0Arson in the 2nd Degree.\u00a0 He has been transferred to the St. Louis County Jail\u00a0 pending the posting of a $10,000 bond.\u00a0 The investigation is on-going at this time.<\/p>\n

Stiles lives in the 1200 block of Herman\u2019s Orchard Drive.<\/p>\n
