It would be open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday, and stay open until 11 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.<\/p>\n<p>Councilman Joe Eagan said he visited the strip mall where the restaurant would be located and was not pleased.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I was appalled at the state of the property,&#8221; Eagan said. &#8220;There was trash all over the property. The side of the building was littered with drinking cups and beer cans.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Sloan replied that although he owns another business in the center, he does not own the center, and he also had problems with the trash.<\/p>\n<p>Councilwoman Karen McKay said she sympathized with Sloan about the trash, saying that she knows that trash can blow and how hard it can be to keep it away from a business.<\/p>\n<p>Councilman Mark Schmidt said that he had no problems with the proposed business.<\/p>\n<p>No one spoke in opposition to the restaurant and the council held a first reading on a bill that would allow it.<\/p>\n<p>In other action, the council:<br \/>\n\u2022 Approved a request by Iwana Rayburn to keep chickens at her home on Hammes Drive.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 \u00a0Approved a request by Jamie Hoefer and Keith Melvin to keep a Muxcovy Duck at their home on Norine Court.
