Starters Should Go <\/strong>Longer in Rams’ 1st <\/sup><\/strong>Pre-Season Game<\/strong><\/p>\n

\n<\/strong><\/p>\n

It is so hard to believe that the Rams pre-season is here already. It seems like just a few weeks ago we were contemplating whether we would even have a season, now we are at its doorstep with the first preseason game this Saturday at home against the Colts.<\/p>\n

At least in this preseason if you spend your money to go see one of these games you might get some action as the 1st stringers might play a bit longer with the shortened camp this year.<\/p>\n

I am actually pretty excited this year to see how the team will do. With QB Sam Bradford the Rams have a guy who can really play and we have a young core of receivers that have some potential. If the team can balance the run and the passing game we should look good.<\/p>\n

The fans could really use<\/p>\n

some excitement this year<\/p>\n

after all of the recent \u00a0lackluster years at the Dome. Only time will tell if the Rams are back or the lambs are back in the pasture we call the Dome.<\/p>\n

Faulk’s Speech a Bit Long, But From the Heart<\/strong><\/p>\n

What did you think of the induction speeches into the Hall of Fame? The story behind Shannon Sharpe’s speech about his grandmother and brother were terrific, it was short and to the point. As far as Marshall Faulk’s speech, it was pretty good, a bit long for me and I felt that it wasn\u2019t truly from the heart, it seemed a bit pre produced for me. What a great honor though for him.<\/p>\n

I think in the upcoming years that we will see many more Rams from that magical era go into the Hall including of course Kurt Warner, Orlando Pace and Isaac Bruce. Will Tory Holt get in and Aneas Williams? That will remain to be seen but I think that that Rams team \u00a0from 1999 to at least 2002 were the best teams ever and the 1999 and 2001 teams , both better than the Bears in 1995. I have never been to Canton to see the Hall of Fame but it is on the bucket list for me in life.<\/p>\n

Don’t Gamble With Your Health, I Learned<\/strong><\/p>\n

Speaking of bucket list, I am always the first to tell others to seek medical attention for any problems on the health show I do on TV, but I am always the last to take my own advice. After experiencing chest and back pains and just ignoring them, I went to the cardiologist.<\/p>\n

After a bit of pressure from my wife and parents, along with my boss, I sucked it up and went for test. Everything looked pretty good except for one thing that will be evaluated next week. I guess my point to this story is don\u2019t be a hypocrite like I was being, telling others to do one thing and not doing it myself.<\/p>\n

I am glad I went; I have so much to live for including my family and my tv job, which I both love dearly. If you take one thing away from this is that you are not invincible\u2014 no one is.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
