Kelly has announced that he will seek the office of municipal\u00a0 judge for the City of Florissant in the special election to be held Nov. 8<\/p>\n<p>Kevin R. Kelly is the brother of the late Judge Tim Kelly who won \u00a0another term in the April elections, but died a few weeks later leaving the city&#8217;s judge post vacant.<\/p>\n<p>Judge Kevin Kelly currently serves as the municipal judge for the cities of Cool\u00a0 Valley, Hazelwood and Maryland Heights and is the prosecuting attorney for\u00a0 city of Dellwood.<\/p>\n<p><strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>He also is in the private practice of law.\u00a0 Judge Kelly has\u00a0 resided in Florissant for 54 years.<\/p>\n<p>Judge Kelly is a member of the Missouri Municipal and Associate Judges\u00a0 Association currently serving as an at large member of the Board of\u00a0 Directors.\u00a0 He was President of the Association in 2001-2002.\u00a0 He is also a\u00a0 member of the St. Louis County Bar Association\u2019s Executive Committee\u00a0having served since 2006.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt would be a great honor to serve the city of Florissant as its municipal\u00a0 judge.\u00a0 I believe my experience in municipal courts for the past 30 years as\u00a0 well as my familiarity with the court system, the community and its residents\u00a0 makes me uniquely qualified for this position.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-6069\" title=\"Kelly, judge candidatePhoto\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.flovalleynews.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/08\/Kelly-judge-candidatePhoto-221x300.jpg?resize=221%2C300\" alt=\"Kelly, judge candidatePhoto\" width=\"221\" height=\"300\" \/><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong> <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong> <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong> <\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Judge Kevin Kelly To Seek Florissant City Judge Post Kevin R.
