Amidst simmering summer heat, creative minds are already sparking\u00a0 preparations for fall. Central Methodist University (CMU) announces its \u201cPush for Possibilities\u201d Job Fair to be\u00a0 held Tuesday, Aug. 9 from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the North County Recreation Complex, 2577 Redman Road.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe event will highlight the wealth of talent that is available in the St. Louis area, as well as educational opportunities,\u201d said Bridgette Reynolds, CMU\u2019s director of corporate relations for the Adult Degree Program<\/p>\n
The job fair is free and open to the public and a large turnout is expected, so job seekers are urged to register\u00a0 ahead of time at adp.centralmethodist.edu\/JobFair. Companies that will participate include Bunzl Distribution,<\/p>\n
Weekends Only, Eastern Missouri Psychiatric Hospital System and F.A.M.S. Positions with these companies\u00a0 range from frontline employees to administrative and leadership roles.<\/p>\n
Job seekers will enjoy additional benefits from attending the fair. CMU is hosting free workshops throughout\u00a0 the day, including \u201cFrom \u201cHi\u201d to HiredTM: How to Simplify and Ace the Interview,\u201d led by career coach,\u00a0 author and motivational speaker David Hults, \u201cBusiness Writing that Hits the Mark\u201d (a condensed version),\u00a0 and \u201cExploring Financial Aid 101 for Adults\u201d. Participants will also receive a packet of resources (e.g., r\u00e9sum\u00e9\u00a0 writing dos and don\u2019ts, dress for success, etc). Registration is required for the free workshops because\u00a0space is limited.<\/p>\n
CMU has also partnered with KidSmart to generate donations of much-needed school supplies for their Push\u00a0 for Pencils program at the job fair and throughout the month of August.<\/p>\n
CMU\u2019s ADP services include reaching out to area companies to gauge employee educational interests, assisting\u00a0 with professional development and successful succession planning goals, and providing additional resources\u00a0 that may result in improved employee retention. ADP offers adults the convenience and affordability they\u00a0 need, students attend class one night a week, one-on-one counseling, a personalized graduation plan and no\u00a0hidden fees.<\/p>\n
