Hazelwood Offers Free Summer Concert<\/p>\n
Series at Truman Park Gazebo<\/p>\n
Everything from a tribute to Elvis Presley to the classic rock sounds to the jumpin\u2019 dance tunes performed by the Bob Kuban Band will be featured in Hazelwood Parks and Recreation Division\u2019s first ever \u201cSummer Concert Series\u201d at Truman Park, located at 7029 Howdershell Road in Hazelwood.\u00a0 Six bands will be performing \u201clive\u201d music from the new gazebo built next to the pond from May 21 to August 13.<\/p>\n
Admission is free and open to the public.\u00a0 Since parking is limited, residents living nearby are encouraged to walk over and enjoy the fun entertainment.\u00a0 Shuttle bus service from White Birch Park, 1186 Teson Road, begins at 6 p.m.\u00a0 In case of rain, the concerts will be held at the Hazelwood Community Center in White Birch Park.<\/p>\n
Bring lawn chairs or blankets, snacks and coolers.\u00a0 No glass containers will be allowed.\u00a0 Each concert begins at 7 p.m.\u00a0 Sit back and gaze at the stars or watch ripples in the pond while listening to popular song hits.\u00a0 Audience members may even want to get up and dance to their favorites.\u00a0 It\u2019s also a great way to spend quality time with the family, meet the neighbors or make new friends.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe\u2019re excited about bringing this type of free entertainment to the residents of our community,\u201d said Mayor Matthew Robinson, City of Hazelwood.\u00a0 \u201cAlthough the City has gone through some hard times over the past couple of years due to the slow economic recovery, I\u2019m glad to see that we\u2019re still able to produce good quality programs like the Summer Concert Series.\u201d<\/p>\n
