They will be sworn in at the April 19<sup>th<\/sup> school board meeting.<br \/>\nThe unofficial results follow:<br \/>\nANN GIBBONS\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026&#8230;7,087<br \/>\nCHARLES (CHUCK) WOODS\u20266,989<br \/>\nBRENDA C. YOUNGBLOOD\u2026. 6,990<br \/>\nNITA CURRY\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026&#8230; 5,497<br \/>\nWRITE-IN\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026 \u00a0 \u00a0113<br \/>\nGibbons has been on the HSD Board of Education for 30 years and will begin her 11th term. She and her husband Tom have lived in HSD for 50 years. They have five children and have been the host parents of 12 exchange students.\u00a0 All have graduated from Hazelwood Central or East high schools.<br \/>\nGibbons has been active in the PTA for 43 years, has served on attendance area committees, was a Key Communicator and has been active in Hazelwood booster clubs. She has been a volunteer for the Girl Scouts for 45 years and was a troop organizer in the Boy Scouts for 12 years.<br \/>\nWoods and his wife Donna have one son who attended grades K-12 in Hazelwood schools and three grandchildren who currently attend Hazelwood West Middle and Hazelwood West High schools. Woods earned a bachelor\u2019s degree in elementary education from Southeast Missouri State University, a master\u2019s and a specialist\u2019s degree from Southern Illinois University. He retired from HSD in June of 2002, after serving as an elementary principal for 34 years. He served 14 years at Lusher Elementary, 10 years at Cold Water and 10 years at Barrington.<br \/>\nYoungblood earned a Bachelor of Science degree in elementary education from Central Missouri State University, a Master of Science degree in counseling education from Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville and a Ph.D. in special education from Saint Louis University. She began her teaching career in District 189, East St. Louis. In 1972, she became a guidance counselor at Russell Elementary School after moving into HSD. She worked at Walker Elementary School, followed by the Hazelwood Drug\/Alcohol Education Program. In 1986, she became a principal, a position she would hold for 22 years.
