Bob Aubuchon<\/strong> receives the Northwest Chamber of Commerce’s Betty O’Keefe Volunteer of the Year award from Larry Perney,<\/strong> president and CEO, Northwest Chamber of Commerce.<\/p>\n Hazelwood Ward 2 Councilman Bob Aubuchon is the recipient of the Northwest Chamber\u2019s 2010 Bette O\u2019Keefe Volunteer of the Year award.\u00a0 He was presented with this honor recently at the Northwest Chamber\u2019s 2011 Annual Meeting Installation & Awards Ceremony held at Harrah\u2019s Casino and Hotel.<\/p>\n A retired firefighter from the Pattonville Fire District Aubuchon currently serves on the Hazelwood City Council as the councilman for Ward 2.\u00a0 He was first elected to the City Council on April 1, 1997, and has served his constituents for the past 13 years.\u00a0 Aubuchon is up for re-election on April 5, 2011.<\/p>\n In addition to serving on the Northwest Chamber Board of Directors for the past two years, Aubuchon is an active participant in Northwest \u00a0Chamber events.\u00a0 He is involved in the following Chamber committees:\u00a0 Ambassador & Membership; Casino Night; Government & Community Concerns; Chamber Golf Classic; Chili-Dog Golf Tournament; and co-chair of the Mingle at the Mills which is a fund-raiser for the Chamber\u2019s Scholarship Fund for six area high schools.<\/p>\n Aubuchon is also credited for starting The Biggest Loser program and the King of Wings competition for the Mingle at the Mills event at St. Louis Mills.\u00a0 Plus, he has recruited many new members for the Chamber and brought in additional Scholarship Fund dollars as well.<\/p>\n \u201cBob Aubuchon has been a huge asset and a great supporter of our Northwest Chamber,\u201d said Larry Perney, president and CEO, Northwest Chamber of Commerce.\u00a0 \u201cHe lives up to the example set by the late Bette O\u2019Keefe, a long-time board member and enthusiastic volunteer who spent much of her time helping to make our organization better.”<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Bob Aubuchon receives the Northwest Chamber of Commerce’s Betty O’Keefe Volunteer of the Year award from Larry Perney, president and CEO, Northwest Chamber of Commerce.
