Hazelwood East and Hazelwood West high schools and Hazelwood Central Middle School are hosting open house events for students, families and the community on Thursday, Aug.\u00a0 26.<\/p>\n
Open House at Hazelwood East High School is scheduled from 5:30\u00a0 to 8p.m. and will begin with performances by the drum line and school choir. Jacqueline Kelly, the new principal of Hazelwood East, will give remarks and introduce faculty and staff. Corey Johnson, activities director, will give remarks about athletic eligibility and Parent-Teacher Student Association concession sales during school events. Beginning at 6 p.m., parents can visit teachers\u00a0 by following their student\u2019s classroom schedule.<\/p>\n
Open House at Hazelwood West High School begins with a pep assembly in the gym at 6 p.m. Parents can visit their student\u2019s teachers from 6:30 until 8:40 p.m. by following designated times. To promote literacy at school and at home, there will be a book fair during open house. The Hazelwood West Parent-Teacher Student Association will serve refreshments in the commons\u00a0 at 8:30 p.m.<\/p>\n
Hazelwood Central Middle School will begin with a formal presentation of Missouri Assessment Program (MAP) scores and staff introductions at 6:30 p.m. in the gym.
