\"\"<\/a>St. Louis County to Host The Wall That Heals<\/strong><\/h1>\n

At Jefferson Barracks Park July 24-27<\/strong><\/h1>\n

Saint Louis County is just two weeks away from hosting The Wall That Heals, a three-quarter scale replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C., and its accompanying Mobile Education Center, at Jefferson Barracks Park from July 24-27. The Wall That Heals will be open 24 hours a day and is free to visit. This powerful tribute honors the more than 3 million Americans who served in the Vietnam War and memorializes the 58,281 names of those who made the ultimate sacrifice.<\/p>\n

Due to the scope of the event, we want everyone is award of the full<\/p>\n

schedule of activities beginning July 22. Activities include a motorcycle escort,<\/p>\n

assembling of the wall, multiple ceremonies, and guided group tours. Media<\/p>\n

outlets are invited to reach out in advance for clarification on event timing, press<\/p>\n

access, and interview opportunities.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are honored to host The Wall That Heals at Jefferson Barracks Historic Site, a<\/p>\n

place rich in history and a cornerstone of our community\u201d said Saint Louis County<\/p>\n

mobile exhibit to Saint Louis County, Missouri, to allow local veterans and their<\/p>\n

  • Noon: Motorcycle escort assembles at Greensfelder Recreation Complex, Queeny Park<\/li>\n
  • 1 PM: Procession departs, travels via I-270 to Telegraph Road<\/li>\n
  • 1:45 PM: Arrival at Jefferson Barracks; greeted by County Parks staff and Scouts<\/li>\n
  • Mobile Education Center opens for motorcyclists<\/li>\n
  • Around 4 PM: Wall truck moved to final location; apex assembly begins<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

                  About The Wall That Heals<\/strong><\/p>\n

                  The traveling exhibit is a program of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund (VVMF) and is the only mobile replica affiliated with the original Wall in D.C. Since 1996, it has visited nearly 800 communities.
