The Open Road: Sonic Landscapes \u2013 May 9, 6-7:15pm Saint Louis Art Museum Auditorium https:\/\/chamberprojectstl.org\/season-17-20242025\/2025\/5\/9\/the-open-road<\/p>\n

In collaboration with the Saint Louis Art Museum and curator Eric Lutz, this narrated multimedia concert explores the relationships between American music and the Exhibition \u201cIn Search of America: Photography and the Road Trip.\u201d Hitting the road from the open deserts of New Mexico to the gentle mountains of Appalachia, to the bustling cities bursting with frenetic energy, we will explore the sounds of the American landscape with music from Aaron Copland, Ned Rorem, Rhiannon Giddens, Duke Ellington, and Libby Larsen.<\/p>\n

\u00a0USAF Band of Mid-America Chamber Winds <\/strong><\/h2>\n

Concerts \u2013 May 16-20 <\/strong>https:\/\/www.afbandtix.org\/tour<\/h2>\n

The USAF Band of Mid-America will present an evening of chamber works in an intimate concert setting. Program will include music of all genres, performances by solo musicians, duos, and chamber ensembles. Admission to these performances is free and open to the public. These are family-friendly, all-ages events.<\/p>\n

Funny, touching, and written with rare grace and sensitivity, The Heidi Chronicles is a moving examination of the progress of a generation, from the socially and politically activist sixties to the success-oriented eighties\u2014a time during which the status of American women underwent profound, and sometimes unsettling, change.<\/p>\n

The Race For Reconciliation is a 5K run\/walk with the goal of promoting racial unity in St. Louis. The race is held on Delmar to bring the message of racial unity to the historic Delmar divide. This race is extra special because we are hosting it in collaboration with the Delmar Loop Juneteenth Celebration. Immediately following the race there will be a vendor fair, music, and several family friendly activities to enjoy.
