discovers in Charles Dickens\u2019 classic &#8220;A Christmas Carol.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The Hawthorne Players production of this familiar story will return to the Florissant Civic Center Theatre stage, just in time for Christmas, with all the members of the Hawthorne Players cast eager to share their theatrical gifts with area families and friends.<\/p>\n<p>The show, adapted and directed by Nancy Crouse, will be presented on Dec, 18 at 8 p.m, Dec. 19 at 2 and 7 p.m. and on Dec. 20 at 2 p.m.<\/p>\n<p>Tickets are $14 for adults, $12 for older adults and students, and a special $7 ticket for children 12 and under.\u00a0 Seating is reserved and may be ordered at the Box Office at (314) 921-5678.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Our audiences have been asking for &#8220;A Christmas Carol\u2019 for a long time, and we are\u00a0so thrilled that the Hawthorne Players are returning this wonderful story to our stage,&#8221; said Gary Gaydos, Florissant Civic Center Theatre Manager.<\/p>\n<p>Paul James stars as Scrooge.\u00a0 The versatile actor has appeared in over 90 productions, including work in film and on stage in many regional theatre productions.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;A Christmas Carol&#8221; will fill the Florissant Civic Center stage, with lovely sets, beautiful costumes by Jean Heckmann and spirited singing, dancing and acting.\u00a0 Nancy Crouse adapted the classic story and directs this full-scale production.<\/p>\n<p>Mary and Ike Eichenberger are directing the music and Julie Strathman choreographed the dances.<\/p>\n<p>Director\/designer\/adapter Nancy Crouse directed Hawthorne\u2019s season opener, &#8220;Stepping Out,&#8221; and then designed the set for the summer musical, &#8220;Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor
