Christmas Wonderland in Alton<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Experience the enchantment of Christmas at the “Christmas Wonderland” holiday light display. The “Grandpa Gang” has been at it again transforming Rock Spring Park in Alton, Illinois into a Winter Wonderland.\u00a0\u00a0 <\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0 <\/strong>Visitors can drive through the park to view more than 4 million lights decorating the park. This year the popular Enchanted Forest where visitors vote on their favorite decorated tree returns to the park, as do visits with Santa Claus! Take your own free photos with Santa!Christmas Wonderland opened the day after Thanksgiving through late December. Visit the twinkling lights from 6 pm to 9 pm Monday – Friday or 5 pm to 9 pm on Saturday & Sunday. The suggested donation is $10 for cars and small vans or $1 per person for vehicles holding more than 10 people through Dec 27<\/strong>

USAF Band Concert \u2013 December 2, 7 pm<\/strong> Touhill Performing Arts Center\u00a0\u00a0 <\/strong><\/p>\n

The US Air Force Band of Mid-America<\/a> will present its annual \u201cSpirit of the Season\u201d holiday concerts in the St. Louis metro area. Admission to these holiday performances is free and open to the public, but tickets are required. Reserve your tickets today at afbandtix.com<\/a>. This is a family-friendly, all-ages event. This year\u2019s holiday series will feature a special guest reading of \u201cThe Christmas Truce\u201d by USAF veteran Kathy Lawton Brown, host of Classic 107.3 FM. \u201cThe Christmas Truce\u201d tells the story of a series of unofficial ceasefires that took place along with the Western Front of the First World War during Christmas of 1914. Additionally, Santa and Mrs. Claus will lead a performance of the Muppets\u2019 song \u201cChristmas is Coming.\u201d<\/p>\n

Classic 107.3, \u201cThe Voice for the Arts in St. Louis,\u201d has a new episode in its series for school-aged children called \u201cMusical Ancestries\u2122.\u201d The new episode explores the splendor of Mexican culture through its music, dance, art, history, and rich cultural traditions. Musical Ancestries is designed to create a pathway to understanding and appreciation as children explore the great diversity of our community.<\/p>\n
