Halloween Happenings<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2022 The Hazelwood Parks and Recreation Division<\/strong> is hosting a spooktacular Halloween Happenings party<\/strong> on Saturday, Oct. 31, at the Hazelwood Community Center located at 1186 Teson Road, from 6:30-9 p.m. Free.<\/p>\n

Children are invited to celebrate a safe, dry and fun Halloween.\u00a0 The event will feature ghoulish games and activities, including a hayride and free refreshments.\u00a0 Also, costume contests will be held in the following age groups:<\/p>\n

2 & under\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 7:20 p.m.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 3-5 Years\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 7:30 p.m.<\/p>\n

6-8 Years\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 7:40 p.m. \u00a0\u00a09-11 Years\u00a0 \u00a0 7:50 p.m.<\/p>\n

12-15 Years\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 8:10 p.m\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 16 & Over\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a08:20 p.m.<\/p>\n

Open judging, 8:30 p.m\u00a0 (for anyone who missed their age group)<\/p>\n

In addition to the Halloween festivities, a Halloween coloring contest is being offered to youngsters between the grades of kindergarten and fifth grade.\u00a0 The coloring sheet of a cat popping out of a pumpkin can be picked up at the Hazelwood Community Center, Civic Center East or downloaded off the City\u2019s website in the \u201cWhat\u2019s New\u201d section at www.hazelwoodmo.org<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Jamestown Mall <\/strong>and the City of Black Jack<\/strong> will be hosting a North County Community Halloween Spooktacular, Saturday, Oct. 31, 6-8 p.m. The mall will have treats in five designated areas, the \u00a0traditional costume contest in Center Court, and St. Louis County Police will have a safety center. They will handing out free Halloween bags, and for a small fee, a 4×6 spooky photo will be taken by Low Blow Video & Photography.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Northern Arts Council Mask-Art-Aid Silent Auction and Halloween Party <\/strong>at NAC Gallery, 27 S. Florissant Rd., Ferguson. \u00a0on Friday, Oct. 30 from 7-9 p.m. Costumes optional and refreshments provided Bid on the wonderful selection of handmade masks donated by great artists. Some are wearable; others are unique works of art to be enjoyed all year.<\/p>\n

A special preview will be held on Friday, Oct. 30, 11 am-2 pm (Silent Bids may also be made during normal gallery hours, Saturdays Oct. 10-30, 9:30-1 pm, and until 8:30 at the party.) \u00a0Winning bidders will receive their masks shortly after bidding ends at 8:30\u00a0 during the party on Friday, Oct. 30.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Grant’s Farm Halloween Festivities<\/strong> will be held from 6-10 p.m. on Oct. \u00a029 and 30. Activities will include<\/p>\n

\u2022 moonlight tram rides through the dark deer park<\/p>\n

\u2022 DJ spinning spooky hits in the Bauernhof Courtyard<\/p>\n

\u2022 non-scary classic Halloween characters.<\/p>\n

Parking is $20 per vehicle. Season parking pass is not valid. Walk-ins are $5.<\/p>\n

\u2022 The Not So-Haunted Magic House <\/strong>offers a “spook’tacular time at the Ninth Annual Not-So-Haunted House, Oct. 30-Nov. 1, during normal museum hours.\u00a0 This fright-free Halloween fest provides a safe and indoor option for children looking for a “goblin” great time. \u00a0Kids of all ages are invited to dress in their Halloween costumes and have a ghoulishly good time getting autographs from their<\/p>\n

favorite storybook characters and trick-or-treating through the museum.<\/p>\n

This year’s Halloween event will include a visit from characters such as Harry Potter, Peter Pan, Cinderella, and much, much more.\u00a0\u00a0 And for the older boys and girls, the Haunted Trail is a must-see adventure!<\/p>\n

The Not-So-Haunted House is free with regular museum admission of $8.50 per person. Children under one are free. Museum hours for the Not-So-Haunted House \u00a0remaining hours are Friday, Oct. 30, 10:30 a.m. – 9 p.m.; Saturday, Oct. 31, 9:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.; Sunday, Nov. 1, 11 a.m. – 5:30.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Boo at the Zoo Nights. <\/strong>Board the family UFO and gravitate toward the Saint Louis Zoo for gobs of spooks, laughs, animals, fireside stories, night hikes and hauntingly fun entertainment. St. John\u2019s Mercy Children\u2019s Hospital Boo at the Zoo Nights is a family friendly, non-scary Halloween experience from 5:30-8:30 p.m. every night Oct. 16-30.<\/p>\n

Keep your eyes peeled for the Phantom of the Zoo as you eerily make your way through Headless Horseman Graveyard, Pirate\u2019s Cove, Dead Man\u2019s Bayou, Boneyard Park and Old Western Cemetery. Careful not to tangle yourself in Frankie\u2019s Maze! Stick around for \u201cHalloween Hank\u2019s Pirate Adventure\u201d on stage at 6, 7 and 8 p.m., featuring animals performing natural behaviors.
