Hazelwood School District Back to <\/strong><\/h1>\n

School Drive-Thru Fairs set for August 8<\/strong><\/h1>\n

 <\/p>\n

(FLORISSANT, Mo) \u2013 Hazelwood School District will host Back to School Drive-Thru Fairs on Saturday, August 8 at 10:00 a.m. for all HSD families. The fairs will be held at each high school. The district partnered with Hazelwood, Robertson, Black Jack, Spanish Lake, and Florissant Valley firefighters to secure backpacks for students attending HSD schools in the fall. The backpacks will be filled with school supplies including pencils, notebooks, and crayons.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

\u201cThis is about helping our families get excited for the upcoming school year,\u201d said Anthony Kiekow, HSD Director of Communications and Public Relations. \u201cThe school supplies can support virtual or in-person instruction and providing backpacks is a tradition that we believe is important to continue.\u201d<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

HSD staff will be at each location to give families a warm welcome. The fairs will feature posters, balloons, and music. Firefighters will hand the backpacks to families while they remain in their vehicles. All CDC and St. Louis County Public Health Department guidelines will be followed.<\/p>\n
