County Executive Sam Page announced the re-opening of many of the larger St. Louis County parks on April 28, after nearly one month of being shut down.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe are re-opening most of our parks today, confident that our residents are familiar living in a world with new guidelines for moving about safely,\u201d said St. Louis County Executive Sam Page. \u201cThank you to all our residents. Because of your diligence to stay home, stay safe and go out only when necessary, we are confident your sacrifices made a difference.\u201d<\/p>\n

Lone Elk Park will be open to drive-thru traffic only. Most loop trails will be converted into \u201cone-way\u201d trails. All other trails will remain two directional.
\nPark restrooms, dog park, indoor facilities, sports courts, shelters, exercise stations, playgrounds, skate parks and the Creve Coeur Park Soccer Complex are closed.
\nAll programs, activities, events and rentals (regardless of size) are canceled thru at least Friday, May 15.
\nPark Rangers are continuing their duties as normal. Initially, Park Rangers will be assisted by other St. Louis County Park staff at several locations as Park Ambassadors to remind visitors to socially distance and not gather.
\nYard signs, electronic message boards and banners with social distancing reminders have been placed around parks.
