The City of Florissant has added another festive event to its list of annual activities with the Polish Falcons moving its long-time Polish Festival from North St. Louis to the heart of Florissant.<\/p>\n

The 45th Annual Polish Festival was held Sunday at its new location at Duchesne Home Association grounds at 50 Saint Francois St., just off Washington St., same place that earlier this year, hosted the Valley of Flower and Fiesta in Florissant. The Old Town Fall Festival is only a month away, on Oct. 13.<\/p>\n

Polka, Everyone! Many participated in dancing to the music provided by The Dave Hylla Good Times Band.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Based on the large crowd it was evident that folks came from throughout the metro area to celebrate Polish heritage which included Polka music, European-style Polish Sausage, Golabki (cabbage rolls) , Pierogi (cheese filled dumplings), sauerkraut, and of course, beer. The Dave Hylla Good Times Band provided dancing music, and many participated (as shown here).<\/p>\n

Still in the Salute our St. Louis Blues mode, several girls wore \u201cBlueski\u201d tee shirts while serving food and cold drinks on the beautiful Sunday afternoon.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

The Polish Falcons previous location was Stifel Mansion at 2013 St. Louis Ave. They had to sell the old building and grounds because the upkeep was getting too expensive. All indications, based on the great turnout Sunday, suggest the Falcons have found a new location for future festivals and letting the good times roll.<\/p>\n
