Tickets go on sale Aug. 1.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Tickets for Hawthorne Players\u2019 \u201cVoices of Valhalla\u201d go on sale on Thursday morning, Aug. 1, at 9 a.m. Tickets are $25 for the hayrides or $400 for an entire wagon (limited to 16 persons) and may be purchased by calling 314-863-3011 or visiting the Valhalla Cemetery office.<\/p>\n<p>The performances are written and directed by Larry Marsh and will be presented on Oct. 4, 5, 11, 12. They will mark the tenth season for this popular \u201ctheatre in a cemetery\u201d event, presented at Valhalla Cemetery and Funeral Chapel, 7600 St. Charles Rock Road.<\/p>\n<p>The October hayrides leave every fifteen minutes, beginning at 6:30 each evening, taking visitors to locations in the lovely Valhalla Cemetery grounds where actors from Hawthorne Players will bring to life the stories and times of some of the cemetery\u2019s permanent residents.<\/p>\n<p>Besides the hayrides, two special indoor performances, featuring all of the characters, will be held in the chapel of the Valhalla Mausoleum on Oct. 5 and 12 at 4 p.m. Tickets for those performances are only $15.<\/p>\n<p>This year&#8217;s characters will include a lucky gambler, an unfortunate minister, a designing woman, a barnstorming pilot, a lady race car driver in 1911, and a WW I hero.<\/p>\n<p>Marsh says that this year\u2019s stories are sure to both entertain and inform. \u201cSome are funny, some disturbing, some inspiring, but all of them are based on the lives of real people.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Tickets on Sale Beginning Aug. 1 Tickets for Hawthorne Players\u2019 \u201cVoices of Valhalla\u201d go on sale on Thursday morning, Aug. 1, at 9 a.m. Tickets are $25 for the hayrides or $400 for an entire wagon (limited to 16 persons) and may be purchased by calling 314-863-3011 or visiting the Valhalla Cemetery office.
