<\/span>Hazelwood Central High School will be one of 64 host sites for the 2009 Missouri <\/span>State High School Activities Association Softball Tournament, which is scheduled <\/span>to start Oct. 7 and end by Oct. 10.<\/p>\n

\n

\n

<\/span>Hazelwood Central will host Class Four, District Seven with Hazelwood East, <\/span>Hazelwood West, McCluer North, McCluer and Riverview Gardens. The District Seven winner returns to Hazelwood Central on Oct. 14 for the Class Four Sectional <\/span>Round against the winner from District Eight, which includes Pattonville.<\/p>\n

<\/span>Incarnate Word Academy and Rosati-Kain will be in Class Four, District Six at <\/span>Ritenour High and that winner plays at Lafayette on Oct. 14. Trinity Catholic <\/span>will be in Class Three, District Six at Lutheran North with McCluer South- Berkeley in the eight-team field and the winner plays Oct. 14 at St. Charles <\/span>West.<\/p>\n

<\/span>The State Tournament will be held in St. Joseph, Mo., Oct. 23-24.<\/p>\n

<\/span>GIRLS TENNIS<\/strong> — Most area teams will be in Class Two, District Three at <\/span>Pattonville in early October. All eight teams from the Suburban North will be at <\/span>Pattonville including Hazelwood Central, Hazelwood East, Hazelwood West, McCluer North, McCluer, Ritenour and Riverview Gardens and two Parkway District schools, <\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span>Central and North will also be there. Incarnate Word Academy will be in Class <\/span>Two, District Two at St. Joseph’s Academy while Lutheran North will be in Class <\/span>One, District Three at Mary Institute-Country Day School. The top four teams <\/span>from each district will compete in the state team tournament, beginning with the <\/span>regional round on Oct. 12-14 while the top two singles players as well as the <\/span>top two doubles teams advance to the state Oct. 23-24 in Springfield, which will <\/span>also host the state team championships Oct. 22.<\/p>\n

<\/span>GIRLS GOLF<\/strong> — Four of the five Suburban North Conference teams — Hazelwood <\/span>Central, Hazelwood East, Hazelwood West and McCluer North — will join Incarnate <\/span>Word Academy in Class Two, District Two, Oct. 6 at Crystal Springs Quarry, <\/span>Maryland Heights.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n
