Car Sales, Auto Repair Shop, and New Golf Course Fees<\/span><\/h1>\n

\"City<\/a> The Florissant City Council held another short council meeting last week, but still approved several bills and a liquor license for a new pizza restaurant that will soon open near the new Chick fil-A on N. Lindbergh at New Halls Ferry.
\nThe council also asked the new chief of the Florissant Valley Fire Protection District (FVFPD), Jason Hoevelmann, to introduce himself to the council and the city. He spoke briefly and told the council about his experience and his gratitude to the previous chief, Scott Seppell, who is retiring. Hoevelmann has been with the FVFPD since 2000.
\nThe council passed two bills dealing with cars and three dealing with city business.
\nThe council passed a bill which amends a special use permit to Asher Rohra to allow for car sales for the property at 2 Menke Place.
\nThe council also passed a bill which transfers the special use permit from Bill\u2019s Auto Repair to Palmer Premier Auto for the location and operation of an auto repair business at 575 N. New Florissant Road. This is the corner of New Florissant and St. Francois St. in Old Town.
\nCouncilman Gerard Henke made an amendment to change the number of days a car can be on the lot from 30 days to 45 days. The amendment passed.
\nThe council passed a bill that will amend the city code to amend certain job grade levels.
\nThe council also passed a bill that will adjust fees for the city golf course. The new fees will be $33 for 18 holes with a cart for residents and $36 for non-residents on Monday through Friday, and $36 for 18 holes with a cart for residents and $39 for non-residents on Saturday, Sunday and holidays. There are discounts for walking instead of using a car, twilight discounts, and discounts for seniors and juniors.
\nIn another bill dealing with city business, the council passed a bill that authorizes the acceptance of ownership assignment of real estate properties held by St. Louis County Collector of Revenue through a Collector\u2019s Deed.
\nThe council also held a first reading on a bill that would change the city code about the Citizen Participation Committee.
\nThe council approved a full liquor-by-the-drink license for MOD Super Fast Pizza at 3119 N. Hwy. 67.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
