Security has been added to the James J. Eagan Center and JFK Community Center in Florissant. Both centers are now equipped with advanced technology and camera surveillance.<\/p>\n
The city council appropriated the funding based on a request by Mayor Robert Lowery, Sr. <\/p>\n
“I am not aware of any attacks on people, but there have been thefts at the centers and I am very pleased that our residents and visitors can feel safe and enjoy all that the centers have to offer,” said Lowery. <\/p>\n
The equipment is positioned so that the entire sites can be watched by an attendant 24 hours a day, recording all movement in the area. <\/p>\n
“The surveillance equipment will also deter possible crime at both locations and prove helpful in the capture of the perpetrators,” said Lowery.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
