Walsh served as the keynote speaker.<\/p>\n<p>This year\u2019s awards recipients were:<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Community Service Award- Florissant Valley Kiwanis.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Community Service Award- North Star District, Greater St. Louis Area Council, Boy Scouts of America.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Community Service Award- North County Incorporated Regional Development and Association.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Outstanding Leadership Awards- Thomas F. George, Chancellor and Professor at the University of Missouri- St. Louis.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Outstanding Leadership Award- Rick Stevens, president of Christian Hospital.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Outstanding Education Award- Kimberly G. McKenzie, director of communications and marketing for the Hazelwood School District.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 President\u2019s Award- St. Norbert Catholic Church and School.<\/p>\n<p>NCCU consists of 25 churches of various denominations and non-denominations working to promote racial understanding and justice.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Under the direction of Barbara K.
