Hundreds of families and their furry friends strolled up and down rue St. Francois in Old Town Florissant this past Sunday to welcome fall. even though it was still summer-like, and enjoy the food, beverages, music, booths, and activities at the city’s 20th annual Fall Festival.<\/p>\n

Dog bowls of water were strategically placed along the sidewalks to keep the four-legged friends hydrated as the temperature approached 80 degrees. Also on both sides of rue St. Francois were flea markets and craft booths offering goods ranging from vintage superhero comics to tee-shirts and hoodies printed with “I Love NoCo”, as well as hand-painted plaques dedicated to local entertainment such as KSHE95 (“Real Rock Radio”) and the St. Louis Cardinals. Several local businesses\u2013Baronwood Kennels, Christian Hospital, Raising Cane’s, and Papa Murphy’s\u2013offered raffle tickets for their goods or services. Numerous bands, including Retro Band, Bucket List, and the Florissant Barbershoppers complemented the event with a range of genres. The Bob Kuban Band played two concerts during the afternoon.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\"Bob<\/a><\/p>\n

NoCo Rocks provided children and their parents with a creative outlet to draw or write with colored chalk on the retaining wall and sidewalk near Old Town Marketplace. The faces of the long-running television series \u201c<\/p>\n

Guest appearances were made by the mascot for Bunny Bread and Fredbird who was spotted near the St. Ferdinand Shrine. To ensure the safety of attendees and their children, MoChips and the Florissant Police Department were stationed in City Hall to hand out free child identification kits.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Simpsons\u201d could be seen in several spots among numerous other doodles and writings filling the wall.<\/p>\n

\"car<\/a>\u00a0\u00a0 The annual Cart Show returned to the Knights of Columbus grounds with over 100 classic and restored vehicles in the show. The car show, which benefited the Police Welfare Association, drew a large crowd<\/p>\n
