Paddock Estates Annexation, Florissant FPD Tax Hike For Pension Fund on Ballot Apr. 7
\n Two Florissant area election issues are on the Tuesday, April 7th ballot.<\/p>\n
An annexation proposal to add 87-acres including Paddock Estates Subdivision into Florissant will be on by both residents of Florissant and Paddock Estates with a simple majority needed in both areas<\/p>\n
Florissant has been attempting to annex Paddock Estates since 1990. The last vote in 2004, voters rejected the annexation, which had also included the Marietta subdivision. This time only Paddock Estates in on the ballot.<\/p>\n
The Florissant Fire Protection District is asking for a 15-cent per $100 assessed valuation tax levy to improve its pension plan for firefighters and paramedics. The current residential tax rate is $105 per $100 assessed valuation. The fire district includes most of Florissant, plus parts of Hazelwood, Calverton Park and unincorporated St.. Louis County. Listed as Proposal P, it needs a simply majority.<\/p>\n
